Tell us what you think!

A press release from Warner Bros. Pictures has just confirmed the two key members of Batman’s Rogues Gallery that will appear in the much-anticipated upcoming “The Dark Knight Rises” – Catwoman and Bane. Check it out below:
“Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Christopher Nolan stated, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”
In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.”
Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven. “The Dark Knight Rises” is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.”
“Spider-Man” isn’t the only superhero getting a costume reveal today. We’ve seen sketches of it and glimpses of part of it, today though the first frontal photo of Chris Evans in full “Captain America” garb (complete with helmet and shield) has emerged online via Entertainment Weekly.
The verdict? Mixed. The straps and belt look surprisingly good and the outfit seems quite practical. It’s The ‘Captain’ touches though that seem silly – I can buy the painted on wings (not so much the ‘A’), the chest star isn’t bad but would’ve been better had it been pale grey. The shield though simply looks goofy no matter what way you paint it, and the blue is far too bright.
Could the issue be simply the color scheme? Check out this mockup I did with the version above on the left, and a more subdued and slightly different color palette on the right.
The first-look image of Andrew Garfield as the new “Spider-Man” has just been released by Sony Pictures.
Also included below is this gamma-boosted version to highlight the parts of the costume the quite dark official shot is hiding. As you can see, the look is much rougher and more real world practical than the smooth, CG-patterned hi-tech spandex of the Raimi movies. Maguire’s costume didn’t look like something a high school kid could whip up, this on the other hand looks closer to the mark.
The lightened version shows off more body contour lines, a rougher grain to the suit texture, gold metal elements on the wrist that could be mechanical web shooters, and even the talked about VPL created by Garfield’s codpiece. Check it out below:
